BAHRAIN - Get Lost!

Today the FIA announced that the Bahrain GP would go ahead later this year. This is despite various campaigns against such action by human rights groups and various teams having come out against changes to the 2011 calendar which would lengthen the Formula 1 year. Mark Webber is on the record , using quite diplomatic language, that Bahrain is no place for F1 in the short term. Other observers like Martin Brundle and Joe Saward agree with him and so do I. Until the Bahrain regime stops shooting their own people in the streets and makes genuine moves toward becoming a peaceful democracy, or something at least resembling one, then F1 should stay away. F1 should recognise it's obligations as a world citizen, it's power to influence others and it's capability to, on occasion, become an agent for change. F1 should reject a Grand Prix in Bahrain for at least this year.
